Paesaggio laziale tra ideale e Reale dipinti del XVII e XVIII secolo
Tivoli, Villa D'Este.
12th June- 1st November 2009

Open 8:30am until one hour before sunset
Closed Mondays

Exhibition plus entrance into villa: €10,00, free for under 12's and over 65's.

For more info visit http://www.villadestetivoli.info or email info@villadestetivoli.info

"The exhibition shows a selection of paintings by some of the best landscape painters who worked in Rome between the 17th and 18th century, a period when landscape painting moves between The Ideal and The real".
"Landscape of Latium becomes the visualisation of a dream, it changes into myth as fables and ancient stories it performs, rising to a universal value. Tivoli is expression and synthesis of these ideas: the ancestral memory of ancient myths, the great vestiges of classical and Renaissance world, the panic sense of nature live together in an indissoluble union. The emotion caused by the landscape of Tivoli is expressed among the ideal, the real, the picturesque and the sublime in the views by Dughet, van Wittel, locatelli, Van Bloem, van Lint".

The internationally known TV programme that searches for the next big pop music artist is back for it's third edition on Italian TV. Originally created by British Simon Cowell, X-Factor is now a cult programme throughout the world. In Italy it is broadcast on Rai Due.

The first appointment with this popular programme was last night. Hostedby Francesco Fracchinetti, this years panel of judges/tutors is made up of Morgan, Mara Maionchi and new member Claudia Mori.

Over the 13 evening shows and daily afternoon airing, the 12 musical talents will battle it out to win a music contact and prize money.

The singers are divided into 3 groups; 16-24, 25+ and groups. My personal favorites after watching last nights show are Marco, Ornella and Luana Biz.

RomAntica is the name of a fantastic restaurant situated in the centre of Rome. A friendly and welcoming environment with multi lingual staff. To complete the cosy atmosphere they even have a singer who will sing to you at your table along with his guitar. He's great at doing traditional Roman songs but also knows several international songs. Not to mention songs to keep the children entertained.

They offer a wide selection of dishes and often host special evenings. An example of this is the upcoming 'Serata Party Santa Maria' which will take place on Friday, 16 October 2009 starting at 20:30. You will be able to sample the excellent "Morellino di Scansano". Special discount prices all evening if ordered by glass or bottle, accompanied by a special menu. A hostess will be there to offer information, gadgets and there will also be a prize for one lucky diner.
